Rolando Andrade

Co-Founder

C.E.O. of Andrade Inc./C.E.O. of J.A.B. Corp./President of the Board of Approachable Foster Care Agency.

Andrade Inc. comprises four facilities that care for the chronic mentally ill.

I worked for over 20 years as a Deputy Public Conservator and Mental health Case Manager as well as president of the Stanislaus County S.E.I.U.  For the past 30 years my focus has been providing services to the chronic mentally ill whether it be advocating for the release from long term locked facilities for a client to the placement in community, to assisting in obtaining the correct medication and encouraging medication compliance. It has been my experience that not all clients want the help that is needed, but knowing that they require assistance in obtaining services can lead to stable placement and ensure their basic needs are met.

I was born in a small poor southern town in Texas but spent the next 17 years of my life in Chicago Illinois. From there I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana and then transferred to PanAmerica University in Edinburg Tx. I met my wife, Maria and have been happily married for the last 47 years. I have two children, Jaime and Marissa who have followed in my footsteps.  I am a long time racquetball player, avid reader and enjoy Korean dramas. When I have spare time I enjoy traveling with my family.

Marissa West

Co-Founder

Secretary of Andrade Inc./ Administrator of Mar-Ric Care Home/ Keeper of the books

I have been working at Mar-Ric Care Home for that last 19 years and have been the Administrator for the last 12 years.  It is my duty to make sure all our facilities are in compliance with all state and local laws, health codes and regulations. I oversee daily operations and make sure our staff meet and comply with all policy and procedures.

Mental illness effects more people than we know and it was once a taboo topic is now more talked about and acceptable.  It is my privilege to serve and care for our residents who need support and guidance. It is my long term goal to educate our communities about mental illness and diminish the stigma surrounding metal illness.

I have been married for the last 12 years to a man who thinks he’s part Spider-Man and have two sons.  One who thinks he’s T-Rex and the other who thinks he lives in the water.  I enjoy margaritas and reading as well as spending time with my family. Not necessarily in that order.

I believe in working smarter not harder with my Philosophy being “measure twice and only cut once.”

I have two amazing children, oldest is our Social Worker and youngest is a Supervisor for one of our facilities.  I have been blessed with two beautiful grandkids and two awesome nephews.  I love to BBQ for my family and friends, go to concerts (Alt-Music), travel to Dallas Tx. to watch America’s team, THE DALLAS COWBOYS and I love, love to go to Vegas.

Michael Talbot

Administrator of Adena Care Home

On December 26th of 2009, I began my career in caregiving as an entry level direct care provider at our Mar-Ric Care Home facility.  It has been rewarding experience and it has been a privilege to assist in providing our residents care with dignity.

Prior to joining Andrade Inc. Homes, I worked for ten years at The Modesto Bee.  During my tenure there, I assisted management and personally engaged with the public to assess customer satisfaction.  The feedback we received from the public was instrumental in raising the level of quality we provided.

I was born in La Paz, Bolivia and raised in the beautiful island of Guam.  In 1989 I made the move back to what we islanders call the Mainland and set roots in California.  I graduated from Modesto Junior College with a degree in Business Administration.  I currently live in Riverbank CA and when I am not making the rounds around the facilities, I enjoy engaging in exercise, attending sporting events, music concerts and making my yearly pilgrimage to Las Vegas.

Taylor Hernandez

Social Worker

As the Social Worker for Andrade Inc. I work closely with the different counties we serve and their case workers to find these clients a stable home where they can thrive. Once a client is accepted into the Andrade Inc. family, I assist the resident with the transition into our care; performing the intake which includes giving them a tour of their new home, reviewing the house rules with them, introducing them to their peers and staff, and giving them the opportunity to see all that we have to offer. I check in with our residents, giving them individualized care and someone to voice any concerns to in a safe environment. Moreover, it’s important to collaborate with a residents agency when they’re struggling in order to ensure the resident is receiving all the support they need to succeed.

I have 8 years of experience in the Mental Health field. Prior to finishing my degree at California State University, Sacramento and becoming the Social Worker of Andrade Inc. I was a Direct Care Provider at our very own Casa de Luz. I went on to work at all three of our facilities, gradually moving from one position to the next until I completed all positions under management.

I value compassion, empathy, and positive communication. These values guide my work and the environment within the Andrade Inc. family. I strive to ensure our residents are given every opportunity to be successful under our care.

Outside of work I am very close to my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them, usually at a home BBQ. I’m a mom of one crazy toddler who keeps me pretty busy but I love to read, watch dramas on TV, and am always counting down until summer when I can hit the water.
